Design Tip - Turquoise Planters
The word turquoise comes from the French word for Turkish as the gem was originally imported from Turkey. The first recorded use of turquoise as a color name in English was in 1573. Meanwhile, ancient Egyptians entombed their Pharaohs with turquoise jewelry and traditional native Americans associated it with good fortune and healing. In contemporary design,turquoise color accents accents are very popular to add a bit of zing. Here are some photos of turquoise colored pots that work with just about any color combination:
