Clutter Clearing

The first step in creating a wonderful home environment is to clear away clutter. The rule is the following:

If you have not used it in six months it is HISTORY....this goes for clothes as well as stuff around the house-books,magazines,piles scattered here and there.

The other simple rule is SEE...SIMPLIFY...SELECT... Your environment will begin to feel lighter and less burdened by objects. You can then give your space a good cleaning, including the windows. There is a lot of wisdom in the expression, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness."

Rotary Peace Grove at Tilden Park

High atop the hills of Tilden Park sits a serene sanctuary known as the Rotary Peace Grove. This section of the park was donated to Berkeley Rotary in 1955 when they began planting redwood trees. Each year, a different tree is dedicated to a leader in world peace and bronze plaques are displayed with the honorees' names at the base of each tree. The members of the Rotary club prune and  clean up regularly to help preserve the magic and the beauty. The hike to the grove makes a wonderful outing for the entire family.
