Treasure Sale in Piedmont

The Treasure Sale will take place on March 15th and March 16th  starting at 9 am. at the  Piedmont Community Church , 400 Highland Ave. 

This annual sale showcases thousands of quality items  including books, linens, clothes, furniture, art works etc.  that  have been donated by over 300 families.  All proceeds from the sale are used to purchase building materials and travel expenses for over 200 high school students who spend their Spring Break building houses in Mexico for families in need.

Rotary Peace Grove at Tilden Park

High atop the hills of Tilden Park sits a serene sanctuary known as the Rotary Peace Grove. This section of the park was donated to Berkeley Rotary in 1955 when they began planting redwood trees. Each year, a different tree is dedicated to a leader in world peace and bronze plaques are displayed with the honorees' names at the base of each tree. The members of the Rotary club prune and  clean up regularly to help preserve the magic and the beauty. The hike to the grove makes a wonderful outing for the entire family.
