Dear Pinehaven Neighbors,

Last Saturday at 5am, there was a fire at 6501 Heather Ridge - garage and cars destroyed in a matter of minutes behind my house. The flames and smoke were very scary and we were forced to evacuate immediately. Fortunately for all of us on Pinehaven, the fire department got there in time.

Below you will find a list of essential things to remember in the event that you have to evacuate your home quickly. I hope you do not have to use it but just in case…

GRAB BAG:
-FLASHLIGHT
-copies of important papers such as proof of insurance, deed to your house, medical records,passports,social security cards, credit cards, list of personal contacts, checkbooks etc.
-MEDICINES and or necessary medical supplies such as CPAP machine & cord
-cell phones, iPads, and power cords (and power charger cords for your car)

CLOTHING: wear practical shoes, long pants, dress in layers, hat and or scarf to cover your nose if necessary (put FLASHLIGHT and cell phone in your pocket)

PETS: Have grab and go kits that include leashes, medications, I.D. collars, meal bowls and three days of food and water

Shut off utilities - if time permits, turn off electricity, water and gas
LOCK your house - looters take advantage of evacuations
